Who is Eligible to Vote?

According to the VEC website, you must vote if you:
 

 – are 18 years or older

– are an Australian citizen

– have lived at your address for longer than one month

​

Alternatively, if you are a 'property owner, occupier or represent a corporation', you may be eligible to vote as a 'council-enrolled voter'.

​

You can enrol, check or update your enrolment online through the VEC website.

How can I Vote?

The 2024 Local Council Elections will be held by post this October.

​

You must enrol or update your enrolment by 4 pm on Wednesday 7 August.
